Spring Bird Song Walks at Woven Earth
Come and join us for a couple of cracking walks in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside and learn a bit more about bird song whilst we wander. These two dates have are timed so that we can enjoy the amazing chorus of spring bird song along with its changing cast of characters.

There is something for everyone on these walks so if you want to start learning how to identify birds by their songs and calls, you are looking to improve your existing bird ID skills, you want to know more about why birds sing or you just want to enjoy a lovely walk (and a lovely soundscape) then these walks are for you.
Both walks will take place at Woven Earth (High Leas Farm), Riber near Matlock and this exciting regenerative farming hub with its fantastic mix of woodland, grassland, hedgerows and scrub is the perfect place to enjoy a great variety of bird song.
Sunday 19th March – Spring is well and truly here and we’ll be focussing on our resident song birds which should be in great voice. From Blackbirds to Nuthatches, Greenfinches to Treecreepers this is the perfect walk for those wanting to learn more about the songs and calls of our year round residents. This walk is likely to also include an option for a delicious brunch on our return to the farm!

Sunday 14th May – Spring Migration is well underway and the chorus has some new and exciting sounds! From Blackcaps to Willow Warblers, Restarts to Tree Pipits this is a perfect walk for those wanting to learn more about our Summer visitors and bird migration.
